AIPPI-China Copyright “Hotspot” Forum Convened in Beijing, Releases Top 10 “Hotspot” Cases Involving China’s Copyright Industry

    On Dec 11th, the 2016 AIPPI-China Copyright “Hotspot” Forum took place in the Beijing CUC International Convention Center. Hundreds of domestic copyright experts, academics, lawyers and professionals in law-related fields assembled to discuss challenging “hotspot” copyright issues.

    The top ten “hotspot” cases for China’s 2016 copyright industry are:

    1. Shenzhen Tencent Computer System Co., Ltd v Beijing E-Link Way Technology Co., Ltd., a dispute over the infringement on the right of dissemination of works over information networks.

    2. Qiong Yao v Yu Zheng et. al, a copyright infringement dispute.

    3. Shanghai Animation Film Studio v Zhejiang Xinying Niandai Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., a copyright infringement dispute.

    4. Mu et al. v Beijing Chuangci Space Screen Culture and Media Co., Ltd., an unfair competition dispute.

    5. Zhou Liying v Wang Liyun, a copyright infringement dispute.

    6. Li Chengpeng v Apple Inc., a dispute over the infringement of the right of dissemination through information networks.

    7. Shanghai Zhuangyou Information Technology Co., Ltd v Guangzhou Hugenstar Information Technology Co., Ltd., a trademark infringement and unfair competition dispute.

    8. Jiang Shengnan v Wang Xiaoping & Dongyang Le Flower Film and TV Culture Co., Ltd., a copyright infringement dispute.

    9.Beijing Sina Internet Information Service Co., Ltd v Beijing Tianying Jiuzhou Network Technology Co., Ltd., a copyright infringement and unfair competition dispute

    10. Louis Cha v Jiang Nan, et. Al, a copyright and unfair competition dispute.
