W&B Successfully Hosts July China Law Salon Entitled Remuneration System Design and Risk Controls for ‘Work for Hire’ Inventions
On July 31, 2015, the China Law Salon entitled Remuneration System Design and Risk Control for ‘Work for Hire’ Inventions was convened at Watson & Band. Mr. Jianguo Huang, W&B partner and director of the Patent Litigation Department, was the keynote speaker. 22 in-house counsels and human resource representatives attended the Salon.
The event was hosted by Mr. Shenmin Xu, W&B senior partner. Mr. Xu extended his welcome to corporate representatives and briefly introduced the main subject of the July China Law Salon. He emphasized W&B’s professional expertise and extensive experience in the field of “work for hire” inventions.

Since Mr. Huang started practicing law in 2001, he has accumulated extensive experience in patent litigation, and has developed some unique insights into service invention remuneration system design and risk control. Starting with a brief introduction to existing service invention remuneration practice, he elaborated and explained the latest trends in legislation to the attendees. In addition, with his practical experience Mr. Huang analyzed potential risks and disputes involved in corporate service invention remuneration management, and offered his advice on the design of a work for hire invention reward management system.

During the Q&A session, corporate representatives actively communicated with Mr. Huang regarding difficulties in service invention remuneration systems that they encountered in the course of corporate management. The event was prolonged by 45 minutes due to the interest of the attendees.

About Mr. Jianguo Huang, Attorney-at-Law:
