On the afternoon of December 22^nd, 2016, W&B hosted the Young Lawyer Development Symposium and the graduation ceremony for the Xuihui District Layer Talent Training Base’s Tenth Annual Training Course. The events were presided over by Huang Junyi, Deputy Director-General of the Xuhui District Justice Bureau, and Yang Bo, member of the Party Committee of the Xuhui District Justice Bureau and Chairman of the Law Commission. Yang Jun and Kong Fengting, both W&B Executive Partners, attended the event on behalf of W&B.

Kong Fengting introduced W&B and its practice to the leaders and trainees in attendance, and then summarized W&B’s business development trends in 2016. Wang Dingsheng, a trainee in last year’s course, then delivered a lecture while Xu Wenquan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director General of the District Justice Bureau, summarized and reviewed the training course. The conference leaders then announced the names of the graduating trainees along with the titles of outstanding research papers. They then distributed course completion certificates and handed out awards for outstanding research papers and outstanding course performance.

After the conclusion of the ceremony the attendees participated in a symposium, where Yang Jun shared her practice experience and inspirations. She encouraged young lawyers to strengthen their ideals and principles, establish a good outlook on life, maintain their integrity, practice lifelong learning and develop their professionalism as pioneers and heirs to a new era in the legal profession.

Since its inauguration in July, 2006, the Xuhui District Lawyer Talent Training Base has enjoyed remarkable achievements in terms of the cultivation of the professional abilities of young lawyers, the development of political responsibility and the construction of socialist ideas of the rule of law.
