Gift from Shanghai Xuhui District People’s Government to W&B: “Watson Band” Signboard Constructed with Chinese “Pankou Process” Embroidery Technique, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage

On November 24th, 2016, Xu Wenquan, the Director of the Xuhui District Justice Bureau; Yu Sheng, Chief of the Notary Public Division and Qiu Beizhen, Deputy Chief of the Notary Public Division, visited W&B’s offices and presented a gift on behalf of the Shanghai Xuhui District People’s Government -- a Watson & Band plaque constructed using the Chinese “Pankou process” embroidery technique, a national intangible cultural heritage.

The visiting delegation was received by Xu Shenmin, the W&B Group’s Vice Chairman of the Board; Qian Junliang, W&B Executive Director and Partner; Yang Jun, W&B Managing Partner and Kong Fengting, W&B Managing Partner. The group held a discussion on the current development of the firm.

W&B partners briefed visiting government leaders on the trends and changes that W&B have experienced so far in 2016, and speculated on business prospects for 2017. Leaders of the Justice Bureau spoke highly of W&B’s management, business dynamics and brand building, and they expressed hope that W&B colleagues can be integrated just as seamlessly as Chinese embroidery to work as a team and further instantiate its motto “Integrity, Strategy, Professionalism and Dedication” in order to usher in an even more productive 2017.
