W&B Invited to the Closing Ceremony of the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival

With the announcements of the ten Golden Goblet Awards on the evening of June 21st, 2015, the curtains fell on the nine-day 18th Shanghai International Film Festival at the Shanghai Grand Theater. The ceremony was attended by Gang Tong, Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Press and Publication, Radio and Television; Yong Ying, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee; Tiehui Wen, Vice Mayor; and Zeng Dan, Vice Chairman of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

At the Golden Goblet Awards Ceremony and the Closing Ceremony, the film Night Watch , directed by French director Pierre Jolivet, won the Best Film Award. The domestic film Dead End was the biggest winner of the night – Director Baoping Cao was named Best Director and actors Chao Deng, Yihong Duan and Tao Guo jointly won the Best Actor award. The lead actress of the film Kätilö, Krista Kosonen, was named Best Actress. Veteran Hong Kong film star Ms. Meng Xia (born in Shanghai) won the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Since Watson & Band was a special supporter of this year’s Film Project Market at the Shanghai International Film Festival, and since it participated in various activities throughout the Festival, W&B partners Frank Qian and Jingjing Zhu were invited to the Closing Ceremony.
