Watson & Band Partner Gehui Gao Invited to Speak to IPG Members of JETRO Shanghai

Watson & Band Partner Gehui Gao was invited by the Shanghai Office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to present a lecture on the topic of “Research on IPR Rules for E-Commerce” on December 10, 2014.
Ms. Gao’s speech was delivered in Japanese, and reflected her extensive experience gained through years of practice handling Internet IPR infringement cases, Ms. Gao compared and analyzed the IPR rules adopted by major international and domestic e-commerce players including eBay, Amazon, Rakuten Japan and Yahoo Japan online shopping. She also explained the features of IPR rules of each of these e-commerce players in simple terms, explaining their common features and differences as well as the formalities for filing infringement complaints. Illustrated by images, the lecture was rich in content and easy to understand. The IPG members of JETRO Shanghai all spoke highly of the event.
